Freedom's Wings is a small but growing group of dedicated volunteers reaching across Canada who are committed to the advancement of people with disabilities. Thanks to the growing support of individuals, corporate donations, private foundations and suppliers of products Freedom's Wings now has chapters in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, London, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec.

Like every charity dedicated to improving the lives of others Freedom's Wings struggles with less funding than would allow us to fulfill all of our needs. Our sponsors are especially important to us. Without the generous support of our sponsors and donors Freedom's Wings could not continue to operate and grow. Some help us with financial donations while others donate services and products.

Freedom's Wings started at the York Soaring Chapter just outside of Toronto. A grant from the Trillium Foundation enabled the purchase of the first of four gliders dedicated to the Freedom's Wings Canada program. In 2012 additional gliders will be added to the program in Edmonton and Calgary, each equipped with adaptive hand controls allowing Flight Training to be offered in addition to our Inspirational Flights.
